Syria and its Forces in Lebanon – An Arab View

Ahmed Al-Jarallah, Editor-in-Chief of Kuwait’s Arab Times writes:

THE Islamic resistance in Lebanon greeted last summer with a destructive war, which was offered to Israel on a golden platter. The so-called “Fatah Al-Islam” has welcomed this summer by killing 23 Lebanese soldiers and threatening to open the gates of fire for the Lebanese army and the whole of Lebanon from the refugee camp of Nahr el-Bared in Tripoli. The events in Lebanon make us wonder if Lebanon has any authority over its own land. It has become a place for mercenaries, religious extremists and followers of foreign countries who send bloody messages at the expense of innocent Lebanese. Such activities are forbidden in all free countries. The supposedly elected Lebanese government, which is recognized and supported by the international community, should try to keep Lebanon a model of a free country, where people of different sects and cultures live together in harmony.

The Syrian regime is still doing its best against the establishment of a free and independent Lebanese state, while Tehran, which continues to fill Hezbollah’s warehouses with weapons and missiles, wants to keep Lebanon as an ace up its sleeve in its negotiations with the international community. Although some powerful segments maintain their Lebanese identity they prefer to serve the interests of foreign countries. The Lebanese government should tackle these challenges firmly by taking a solid stand to defend its country and citizens. There can be no excuse for the establishment of a state within state in Lebanon and building closed security islands from Riyad Al-Sulh camp to other Palestinians camps, which are dangerous.

The Lebanese government should do its duty and fulfill its promise to protect Lebanon and its citizens and the Lebanese officials should act positively. We have been warnings about the possibility of such operations in the recent past. Lebanon is not a battle field to settle scores. Outfits like Army of Islam, Fatah Al-Islam, Oun Al-Islam, Abu Adas and not even any Abu chick beans will have any effect on the decisions of the international community. This is an opportunity for the Lebanese government to discharge its responsibility and use the support and power of Arab countries and the international community to regain Lebanon. It is time for the Lebanese government to see that Lebanon comes first.

In spite of Syria’s protestations of innocence, it is no secret who is behind the current unrest. Flexing what are fast becoming butterball muscles, Baby Assad is desperately trying to save himself from the UN’s International Tribunal that will pit him against the world in a fight not one of his Arab brothers is willing to support him on. Even his protectors the Iranians under the putrid little maggot, Ahmedinajad, will soon abandon him as they realize how politically beneficial such a move might be in manipulating the West to lower the pressure against Iran’s nuclear development.

The removal of Assad Jr. and his murderous regime will bring stability to the Middle East and just as importantly, if the West helps out and supports the opposition, it will greatly improve the lot of the average Syrian. Then Syria will get a chance at experiencing some of the freedoms Baby Assad promised but never bothered to deliver.

Lebanon’s legitimate government is enjoying international support, it should not hesitate in retaking sovereignty over its own land, whether it be in Hizbullah strongholds or Palestinian Refugee camps. As Lebanon’s history has repeatedly and tragically proven, such enclaves will only will feel emboldened and become a powerful cancer within.

Fuad Saniora is a coward and an imbecile. He he used the Lebanese army to attack Hizbollah from the north while Israel was attacking from the south, the two armies could have met up after routing Nasrallah and is mutts. This would have scared the bejeebers out of the morons in the “Palestinian” refugee camp. I still have to ask, How can somebody be in a country for up to 60 years and still be considered a refugee? I guess it is true that nobody wants the “Palestinians”.

As for Assad jr, he’s the typical spoiled imp with money and power. All he cares about is himself. He will use whatever means he deems necessary to keep this power. Unfortunately he is too stupid to see the real answer to his problems. This is nothing that a .45 to the head couldn’t handle.
