Blah, Blah, Blah…

Dear Mainstream Media,

Let me tell you how angry I am after having read this article in Haaretz. Well, I guess you’ll say: “Our intentions are good, the peace process needs us to be cautious about what we say, blah blah”. Perhaps, but stop assuming your readership is comprised of morons.

The article’s title reads: Al-Qaida urges Palestinians to quit secular Fatah, to embrace Islam. May I make a suggestion? Just rename your article like this: Al-Qaida urges Palestinian to drop their guns, to live peacefully by having constructive negociations with Israel, embrace the Religion of Peace.

It would be nearer to the truth, no?

Pleeeassse, I URGE you to stop this dumbing down process. Look at what you reported:

Al-Qaida’s second-in-command urged Palestinian fighters on Tuesday to abandon Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s secular Fatah faction and fight for the creation of an Islamic state that would defeat Israel.

“Brothers in jihad, steadfastness and martyrdom-seeking, freedom and a sovereign government will only be achieved if you liberate Palestine from the Jews and their agents, and only if you set up a government which rules by Islamic law,” Ayman al-Zawahri said in a statement carried by the SITE Institute.

Why such an anger you ask? Actually, I wasn’t just fuming about another saying from Al-Qaida. That what I find ridiculous is when you say that the SITE Institute is a:

a private U.S. organisation that tracks militant activities and often publishes militants’ statements. It carried an English transcript of the Zawahri statement which it said appeared as a recording on the Internet.

Well, good job Site Institute! Bravo! I don’t want to question your honesty but why on earth would the reporter write of militant activities? How many more terrorist acts, how many murders, maimings and destroyed lives will it take for you to understand that Al-Qaida doesn’t care about being seen as militants? THEY DO NOT GIVE A FLYING FIG about the Palestinians civilian! Al-Qaida, Dear MSM, is actually, even under the most favorable point of view, no less, no more than a GLOBAL, RUTHLESS, FANATICAL TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. Isn’t that obvious yet?

I urge all forward thinking Palestinians to decline this invitation and I the MSM to stop telling bullshit like this! The support, the starting of new negotiations between Israel and Abbas is what is worrying Al-Qaida, because it proves that there is a big percentage of Palestinians who don’t care for, who are fed up, terrorism. Years of it produced nothing tangible, other than more poverty, more misery, while the leaders get their photo ops and become richer and more corrupt.

Fatah and the Islamist group Hamas agreed at Saudi-sponsored talks, held in Mecca last week, to form a unity government to end a year-old international economic embargo imposed on the Hamas-led Palestinian government because of its refusal to recognize Israel and accept existing interim peace agreements.

Well, at this time, everything is unsure. We don’t know what would be the outcome of this united government. We don’t even know if they’ll decide to recognize Israel but what we’re sure about, by reading the Al-Qaida declaration, is that all the efforts will be ruined.

So, please, don’t compare these ruthless murderers hiding behind “political causes” with “militant activitists”. The Palestinian civilians, all those who from hail from Gaza or the West Bank, who are interested in this peace process need a truthful language from the MSM. Anything else represents the MSM’s betrayal of the average guy on the street, the who is trying to raise a family and pursue happiness through hard work and peace.
